Overview
Orthosis/Orthoses are external medical device (such as a brace or splint) for supporting, immobilizing, or treating muscles, joints, or skeletal parts which are weak, ineffective, deformed, or injured.
Most common type of Orthotics:
- Upper Extremity (ex. Spinal Orthosis)
- Lower Extremity (ex. AFO (Ankle-Foot Orthosis), KAFO (Knee-Ankle Foot Orthosis), HKAFO (Hip-Knee-Ankle Foot Orthosis), SMO (Supramalleolar Orthosis) and more.
